If you look at the number of center consoles boats built each year, it's astounding. Between 1995 and 2006, more than 300,000 center console models were built between 17 and 34 feet. That's a lot of boats! But when you think about how versatile a center console design is, either for a primary or secondary boat, it's not surprising. Brunswick, the large public holding company that manufacturers a variety of boats, including Boston Whaler saw the need for another model in this market that would complement their other brands. MarineMax, one of the largest distributors of Brunswick product approached the company about building a more cost competitive model, that would be turn key. Thus the Laguna series was born. We ran the 210 SC and achieved a top speed of 35.knots with the standard 150 hp Verado with four adults on board. The boat maintained plane even at around 16 knots. The steering was responsive and we experienced no unusual handling characteristics. The designers did a good job of satisfying the angler and recreational boater. There's aft seating for the casual cruise, as well dual 20-gallon livewells and a large fishbox. The standard equipment list is long and includes an aluminum trailer. Laguna is offering bay boats and center consoles from 18 to 24 feet.
